About me

Qualifying as an integrative counsellor and as a life coach is where my journey through life’s ups and downs has taken me to.
I have engaged in a varied career: mostly in the British Army and the care sector.
These careers have allowed me to gain a great understanding of disability. My own temporary disabilities in the Army restricted what I could/couldn't achieve and where I could/couldn’t go.
Working in care has given great insight into wheelchair restrictions and other mobility restrictions. Working closely with clients to overcome barriers they faced around how they saw themselves, their home environment and society.
The confidential, non-judgemental and collaborative approach I provide for clients comes from my own journey through therapy.
A later in life diagnoses of Neurodiversity has given me much understanding of who I am and why in the past I felt ‘different’.
My belief:
We are all different, we are all unique.
Acceptance:
I learnt to accept and like who I am (including my flaws).
My mistakes:
I own them and learn from them, I am a human being, not a robot.
